Nagpur Metro Rail is a proposed quick travel framework for the city of Nagpur, India. Nagpur Metro project is solely handled by NMRCL(Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation Limited) which basically a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) made for the smooth usage and operations of the Nagpur Metro Rail Project and is a joint endeavor of Government of India and Government of Maharashtra, with 50:50 value. NMRCL should be solely in charge of the fruitful and convenient fulfillment of the undertaking and its operations consequently. Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation Limited is incorporated by Govt. of India-Ministry of Corporate issues on 18th February 2015.

The fundamental motivation to begin this undertaking is just to decrease the activity blockage in the urban parts of the city and is relied upon to be finished by December 2016. The Nagpur metro rail set-up will be stretching out over a length of around 38.21 km. It will be serviceable on two hallways, in particular, the North-South Corridor and the East-West Corridor. The 19.65 km long North-South Corridor will be running from Automotive Square to MIHAN, while the East-West Corridor which is 18.55 km long will be built from Prajapati Nagar to Lokmanya Nagar. The aggregate number of stations on Corridor No. 1 (North-South passageway) and Corridor No. 2 (East-West hallway) would be 17 and 19, individually.

As per the Official Data, the Nagpur metro association will be 25 Kilometers long from Sitabuldi to Butibori by means for Mihan. The cost of the endeavor is Rs 1,250 crore. The endeavor will be financed by the Nagpur Improvement Trust (NIT), Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC), Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) and the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO). DMRC is starting now arranging DPRs for Ludhiana, Pune, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Bhopal and Chandigarh.
