NMRCL invites Applications for Bidding on Nine Stations of Nagpur Metro NS Line

The Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. has at last welcomed offers from Infrastructure /development organizations to build 7 elevated and 2 at-evaluation stations on the 12.11 km Khapri – Congress Nagar ‘Achieve 1’ segment of Nagpur Metro’s 19.658 km north-south line! In November 2015, the NMRCL had recompensed L&T Infrastructure Engineering and Rajendra Associates the agreement for the itemized outline consultancy of these stations.

The two contracts for building this present area’s at level track-bed with 3 and hoisted viaduct on Wardha Road were both granted to NCC Ltd on May 30 and November 30 2015, and work is well in progress for both.

The 9 stations which the fruitful bidder will need to develop are:

  • At-Grade: Khapri, New Airport
  • Elevated: Airport, Ujwal Nagar, Jai Prakash Nagar, Chatrapati Nagar, Ajni Square, Rahate Colony and Congress Nagar

Out of these 9 stations, the plans of the Khapri and New Airport stations were uncovered in February. Perused about them here: NMRCL Unveils New Airport and Khapri Stations’ Designs

The pre-offered meeting with intrigued infra organizations will be hung on March 22 and the last date for accommodation of delicate records for offering is 4 pm on April 21. Taking after that, the offers will be opened and assessed at 4 pm on April 23. After the agreement is concluded, heaping work for the stations can be relied upon to start when July 2016.

Elsewhere in the world, the Big 4 firm Ernst and Young was as of late designated as the advisor for the computerized admission gathering (AFC) framework and the utilization of keen cards that can be reached out to different methods of transportation. Likewise, 3 JVs were as of late shortlisted for giving General Consultancy administrations to the NMRCL and the agreement for it is required to be given out by March 15. Once that happens, they will assume control over the obligations of RITES and DMRC who’re as of now giving break consultancy administrations.

In general, the Nagpur metro undertaking is advancing at a decent pace yet won’t have the capacity to meet the 2018-end due date as guaranteed by the NMRCL’s Managing Director at different events. By then, at the most I expect the 4.5 km at-evaluation segment to be prepared with 2 stations on the way, with different areas of both lines opening somewhere around 2019 and 2021.
